What about kratom?

Kratom is different from kava and can lead to dependence (kratom addiction and withdrawal). If you're in recovery from opioids or other substances, talk to your care team before trying kratom.

Can you drive after drinking kava?

Kava can affect coordination and make you drowsy, especially in larger amounts. Florida's DUI law focuses on whether your normal faculties are impaired, and laws are applied case by case, so don't assume you're in the clear. We're not lawyers, but our rule is simple: if you feel it, don't drive. Use a rideshare or a designated driver.
