Why there's no exact answer
Research on kratom in humans is still limited, and studies have looked at small groups. What we do know is that frequent, heavy use builds up more in the body and takes longer to clear than a single drink.
What affects how long kratom lasts
- How much you had
- How often you use it (daily vs once in a while)
- Your body: age, weight, metabolism, liver and kidney function
- The product: concentrated extracts are different from leaf
- Food and hydration
Feeling it vs detecting it
How long you feel kratom and how long a lab can detect it are two different things. A drink might wear off within a few hours, but traces can show up on a kratom-specific test much later. Standard drug panels usually don't look for it. See will kratom show up on a drug test.
Smart moves before a test
Ask what your test covers. If kratom is on it, skip it. Our bars have plenty of kratom-free options, from kava to zero-proof cocktails and cold brew.
